AR-3As with Marantz 7T and 8B

I just put together a marantz 7 and 8 system, and am struggling with speakers. I LOVE my AR4xa's with my 2270, and was thinking about the AR3's for the 7/8 rig. How do you like the AR3 with your system? I heard that they are kinda light on the bass - but i've never heard them in person.
There's a guy in my area selling a pair for $1k on CL.

I have a set in my den,very nice soulding speakers for they're size.Also have a set of Klipsch KG4's in the den.
I was listening with a 2240 but just sold it after 20 years to help piece together a separates system built around a 510M amp,main listening room has Klipschorns.

My Marantz 1060 is hooked up to a pair of Phase Technology PC3 speakers in my home office. Sounds very sweet, warm but with good detail.
