May I possibly replace the power button?

Hi,

I am using a Parasound tdq1600 tuner.
Like its tone and clarity.
But, it does have a problem with my timer because
the power button is digital (this might not be a right wording).
As a result, it does not "stay On" while there is no power.

I am sorry if my explanation was confusing.
Using a usual analog power button, we can always maintain the "On-status" of a device
so that we can use it with the timer.
But, this guy becomes "OFF" when the electricity is gone.

Do you think, I could simply replace the power button to its analog version in order to use my timer?

Sincerely,

Probably not on this tuner. It came with a remote that can turn it on/off too. The circuitry is such that it will lose it's 'on status' even if you bridge the switch. There is a chip looking for the blip of info you send to it by pressing the button or use the remote. What you need to do is power the tuner to be always on by plugging in to another source that's not the timer, and put the rest of the system on the timer. It won't hurt the preamp to have the tuner send a signal to it while it's off. The tuner staying on all the time will not use much power. Another option is to get an analog tuner for use in your timer system.
