Mcintosh C22 mk.3 help with tube change please

Help! Trying to change the MC tubes in my McIntosh C22 mk.3. I took out the top Phillips cover screws and the two screws on on the back panel near the top but the cover won’t slide back or move at all. Since there are no instructions in the manual I thought I’d ask you guys. Am I doing something wrong?

Problem solved. Spoke to Ryan at Audio Classics. Take the top and rear top screws out. Loosen the four Allen head screws on the sides and the top plate slides out. You have to take the top bracket of that covers the tops of the tubes. Then replace the tubes you wish. Best regards to Ryan, Jim Gould (Ghoulardi).

No problem.

For what it's worth, I found the transformation stunning after changing tubes. I used my faves, tele smooth for the phono stages and nos Tung Sol - in this case a pair of 7025 - in the line stage.

I put nos Mullard 4004’s from Upscale Audio in the moving coil spots. They are outstanding.

Anyone else have any tube replacement suggestions? Has anyone tried replacement fuses?
