Media mail tracking

Found out today while shipping some books, that USPS now offers free tracking for media mail.

It's been awhile. I request USPS all the time. To PR much better service than UPS/FEDEX/DHL, and domestic rates apply, the other couriers consider PR an int'l destination and charge twice+ as much.

Actually, it's not free, it's just that if they ask and you don't take the tracking option, when you get a receipt, the tracking number is on there.

They just don't tell you that because they want an extra buck or so!

Yep. I always wondered about that, but I've used them for years.

Customs forms numbers act the same way on international packages too.
