Melted Dust Cover

I was thinking about the razor blade when you mentioned scraping. I've done a little scraping but never had an actual proper scraper, or know how to make an edge on it. I used a razor blade and it worked pretty well to take out some high spots, as fast as rough sanding but it leaves a smooth finish that doesn't require as much followup sanding. No idea how it would work on a TT cover but it's an interesting idea.

The edge is a very sharp almost microscopic rollover hook on the sharpened edge of the scraper. It is maintained by using a heavy burnisher to cause the sharpened edge to roll over slightly thus creating very sharp hook edge.

I'd just polish out the melted spot until it's as clear as the rest, as long as it's not chemically burned...
