Has anyone ever took the inside out of a Sony sacd 5 disc with a broken carousel and moved the guts to a Sony single disc. Looking for info, lots of single DVD players but few sacd players.

I don't know the answer to your question but I see single disk SACD-capable DVD players pretty frequently at thrifts, in particular the Sony NS775V and Samsung HD841. They are all over Ebay as well. Seems like that might be an easier and more practical option than what you're proposing. But best of luck if you go for it, I'm guessing it's possible somehow.
