Model 170 DC?

DC=direct coupled

If you need an 86 wpc power amp than it'd be worth a looksee

Interesting... I had thought/understood that it stood for "dead cold", meaning the amp handled frequencies beginning from "zero Hz" (well, technically I guess it would start at one Hz, since true dead cold would be absolute silence/lack of vibration). Don't remember where I read that, but I know I read it somewhere.

It's a nice amp...worth getting if the price is right and you are looking for a solid-state amp in that power range.

You could or it would if the 2275 has pre-amp outs, but I don't recall if that model has them or not.

Hi Arkay
I not sure where you read that either, I've never heard of it, not saying anything to the contrary I haven't heard it is all. :)

I got direct coupled from Orions BTW

It is worth buying, in my opinion. and remember, like most Marantz of that era, it should give you considerably more than the rated 86WPC!
