Pioneer sx1280
Hitachi sr2004(friggin'A!)
Kenwood kr9600(underappreciated magnifico!)

In my humble opinion......

Any TOTL receiver around 50 pounds or over should be considered a monster receiver; If it can break your back while trying to move it, or you have to think about every time you want to move it because of its weight, it is a monster.

Well, at least that is how I see it; not based on watts alone.

I have sixteen of them, thirteen if you don't like SX 1250's.

Judging by your avatar you really like your Kenwood Kr7600. I have one in mint condition that produces no sound but all the lights work. I am debating if it is worth getting repaired or just move it on the way it is.:scratch2: If anyone had one and has any suggestions that would be cool.

Now to the monsters. I have had about six on the list and most have moved on! More into seperates at the moment.:D

My humble list....

120wpc gruppo...
Luxman R1120
Kenwood 10000 lll
Yamaha CR-2040
Yamaha R-9
Pioneer SX-D7000
JVC JRS-600

Pioneer SX-1250 160wpc (my buddy has right to re-purchase within 1 yr)

Honorable mention TOTL/100 wpc...
Sears TOTL (model ?) by Fisher which draws 550w and guessing it`s 100-120wpc.
Toshiba SA-7100 is 100 wpc and TOTL 77-79
Onkyo TX-6500 Mkll 100wpc but very powerful.

Edit: Forgot about my Mac 4100 (hearing "how could you?" in background).

I poicked up a couple this summer. I now have;
Pioneer sx-1250 (two of them)
Carver The Receiver
Scott 390
Kenwood kr-9600
Pioneer sx-3900.

Still searchin' for the elusive Marantz 2385. I had one in my garage a couple of weeks ago. But that was just to test it for a friend. :tears:

What I have is in my signature, also have a MAC 4100.........sold the SR-2004, figured I'd never get it fixed. :)

I'll join:

And supposedly, a KR-9600 coming sometime.
Aren't old threads great.

Both TOTL for Tandberg in the years they were produced, though shy of the 120 WPC criteria:

TR 2075 MkII
TR 2080

And, in temporary residence: Sansui 9090DB
