Don't recall if this one was mentioned.
R. I. P., Jaco.
The Boston slop rock band BUNNY BRAINS have some very interesting album art.
One of my favorites to stare at--
"Bunny Brains" very cool!
I love the 50's / 60's Capitol covers. They are often comical, and breathtaking or really well photographed with tounge in cheek humor,
Think "The Wildest" with Louis Prima and a stuffed Moose head!!! or Grand Canyon Suite with complete cover photo---
Last Night I Had The Strangest Dream
Ampex records 1971
Don Henley has stated that if there wouldn't have been a Mason Proffit that there may have never been the Eagles.
I think that is quite a heavy statement Mason Proffit invented the Country Rock genre.
Wish You Were Here.
Warner Brothers Records.
One of My favorite album covers. This Lp is one of the Best albums from 1974 and I do have many from 1974.This was the last LP that Warners released.Recorded by Chris Thomas at Caribou in Colorado Elton John recorded His LP Caribou in the same studio.Sadly the Caribou is no longer it burned to the ground I read somewhere.
No Dice .
the Jimi Hendrix Experience.
Are You Experienced?
I love the Fish Eye Lens photo on the cover
Grand Funk Railroad
Capitol Records 1969
Balls to the walls American Hard Rock simple but very neato cover.
The Rolling Stones – Their Satanic Majesties Request, 1967
Lenticular / gatefold sleeve
I was listening to this tonight....
Ghost - Popestar EP
Planes Mistaken For Stars - Prey
"Invented" is a bit of an overstatement. The release of "Sweetheart of the Rodeo" predates Mason Proffit's existence.
XTC - Go 2, the anti-creative, creative album cover.
Warner Brothers Records 1974 White Label Promo
