Most reliable McIntosh SS amps

I really do not understand the OP's question.......

McIntosh amps have a history of remarkable service life

So your experience is they are all reliable. That's a good answer.
I know people who have had problems with their amps. Maybe they caused the problems, maybe they are just worn out. I see some for sale online that have issues. It's not much different than asking what cars in a manufacturers' lineup has the best service life.

If I had to guess, I'd say there's a much greater percentage of 40 - 50 year old SS McIntosh in use today than that most any major Japanese nameplate - which is not to say many of which were not worthy performers.

Also, when it comes to vintage, it should not be taken for granted the unit is performing to spec simply because there is nothing apparently wrong in subjective listening - especially since deterioration can occur very slowly, over a period of many years.
