Movies with odd endings.

I felt that way about "The Happening" with Mark Wahlberg and "The Crossing Guard" with Jack Nicholson.

WARNING *** tough ending to watch.

This ending did not sit well with the movie going audience (why shoot the running man in the back?) ... but makes perfect sense from a "character" perspective. You have to pay close attention to the dialog (character building) throughout the movie.

Made no sense to me when I was a kid ... but like fine wine ... got better with age ... takes life experience that comes with time to understand the characters . One of my favorite thinking mans westerns.

No such list is complete without Harold and Maude ...

PS ... I figure a "spoiler alert" would be a bit redundant here, considering the thread's title ... but hey, if you've never seen the movie ... SPOILER ALERT! <G>

I recently watched Children of Men, it somewhat ends odd. Maybe I need to watch it again at some point.
