Mu Flollower... one tube per channel or one top one bottom.

Given a single elevated heater supply and using the same tube type for top and bottom is there a preference to using one bottle for each channel or one bottle on top and the other on the bottom?

I'd probably do one tube per channel just for wiring neatness reasons. Less wiring connections between sockets that way.

That was the way I was thinking but was not sure if there was a technical reason to do otherwise.

The only thing that comes to mind is possible heater-cathode differences, and thats something you could really only resolve with separate heater windings. The "bottom" of the follower has only a couple volts at the cathode, the upper is probably around 100. With two windings you could light the tubes independently and make the HK voltage zero on each. Without two heater supplies though, its pretty much six of one, half dozen of another.
