MX 1000

I see the black and green now that I’m home, there off a series of numbers by one digit, green has three 301’s and two 302, black has three 280,s and two 281’s These are the last 3 digits of the 7. I’m missing a plastic holdown supporting this board and used a wire tie! Should this board with the ground be fastened to the rca’s?

Originally the OEM RCA's soldered directly to that board. Similar to this M-65. Those RCA jacks on yours are not OEM.

Pardon the dirty finger nail. I work for a living..

What is an output?
Take frontal photos of the green and black rectangular pieces of plastic bolted to the aluminum heatsing on both sides, so that the part number are legible in the photos you post.

So far I do not see anything out of ordinary except this looks questionable but it might be the angle. Take a close shot, so that the resistor circled in red is visible from the side:

That explains the ground being loose, someone’s botched repair. The white wire soldered to the rca’s is frayed somewhat. Those numbers I gave you are on the green and black outputs? Are those the outputs? There are several resistors and small caps bent over at obtuse angles. I don’t like that and like to fix things before they break

It just now dawned on me. Look at the discoloring around these bolts!

So the boards look ok cool, the amp sounds good to me. Thanks for you time. I’m needing a preamp for this.

The light seems to play tricks, depending on angle..referring to the resistor.
looks OK to me too, but you would still have to give it a magnified look for cold solder joints....and I would look at replacing some of the small caps on the main board, particularly C511 (10uf/100v)

Hello brunomarcs,
I have also repaired several of these amplifiers the amp looks technically fine from there I will not worry about it and just listen to the amp, maybe it is advisable to replace the capacitors these are already at age the amp is really worth it.

Lots of listening pleasure
