This is about the 4th month mark.

This is about the 6th month mark

This is how it's setup now.

Yamaha- MX-1000U, 2 M-70's and 1 M-50.
Yamaha- 2 C-50 Pre-amps., Cd player, Cassette
deck, DSP unit, Graphic EQ and T-70 tuner.
Cerwin Vega- RE 38's, LS 15's and LS 12's.
TEAC- X-1000R reel to reel.
Pioneer PL 550 turntable.

It's been an adventure finding most of this 1980's Audio Equipment.

Looking at the 4 month mark, I'd try a MTM configuration by turning the top speakers over placing the woofers on top. I've got stacked Pioneer HPM 100's in the garage in that configuration and they KILL it!

You are on the right track Jeff. One of this Earth's, arguably, best speaker designers was a man by the name of John Dunlavy. He founded "Duntech" in Australia, got homesick and sold off the company and opened another State-side called Dunlavy Audio Labs... Notice anything similar? By the way he won numerous awards for his design and they are absolutely stellar with some 'audiophile' companies following the design:

I've heard of John Dunlavy many years ago, thanks for the history lesson and pics of some very
beautiful speakers.

Nice system. Do you have any feedback issues when you turn it up, with your turntable being so close to the speakers? It looks like you can't move the speakers farther apart, or can you?

The answer to your question would be a big fat YES, I do have feedback problems when play music through the speakers close to the turntable, and I can move the speaker around they're on wheels, but I came up with a better solution, when listening to the turntable I use just the front speakers in stereo for now.IMG_0776.JPG

I thought the MTM (midrange-tweeter-midrange) designed was the brain child of Joseph D'Appolito.
