My Dad's Bedroom System

All of my systems I build from thrift store and CL finds. I promised my dad a year ago I would build him a nice little bedroom system. I averted an almost audio disaster he was about to create. He was looking into buying one of those table top all in one systems that are made to look like an old antique radio. But anyway this is the system he's starting at (currently looking for a TT to finish his system).
Receiver: Carver HR722
CDP: Yamaha CD/DVD single tray player
Speakers: JBL HLS 810 bookshelf
A decent little system that sounds really good.

Cool Carver - 60 wpc?
Yep, 60 watts per with a ton of headroom. I got it at my local St. Vincent de Paul thrift store. A few pots were scratchy. But nothing my CRC electronic spray couldn't take care of. Even came with it's original remote that works! Now to find him a turntable. It never ends, lol.

So that would be the Carver 722?

Nice job on setting up a system for your dad.
If you were to join AK as a subscriber for $25, you could start a WTB thread on Barter Town and find a nice working turntable within your preferred budget.

He loves it. He doesn't have the love of electronics and putting systems together that I do. So when his face lit after hearing hit the first time. I knew he appreciated how it works and sounds.

Now that's great to hear... pun intended!
