    All of my system was either directly or indirectly put together through thrift stores or Craigslist.

    How do you like those speakers? I have a pair I bought about 15 years ago new and still have them but they are on the sidelines at the moment while I'm into the vintage stuff.

    I always thought they needed a sub woofer.

    I like them. I'm new so they are my baseline. Good sound and seem to be well made. I also have a vintage pair of Audio Dynamics that I may use at some point. I mostly listen to classical and jazz, so I don't need thumping base. I think they were originally supposed to be front speakers for home theatre. I got them from Goodwill, hence the lack of grills.
