I decided to order a cheap GoPro knockoff (SooCoo C30) on Wednesday and it arrived on Friday. I ordered the knockoff for two reasons: 1. It was around $300 less than a Hero4 Silver and had pretty much the same specs.
The only 2 problems with the C30 I can find are these: the C30's 4k is fake as the processor cannot handle 4k, but I don't really find a need for 4k (besides cropping), and the "20MP" photos are just upscaled from 12MP, but I mean for $60 and with a bunch of (cheap but decent) mounts included, that's kind of what you would expect.
It takes awesome 120fps video at 720p for slow motion and amazing 1080p 60fps for just "normal" stuff. I mainly bought this camera for a school trip I'm going on to Catalina Island (I'm in yearbook and I don't feel like taking a DSLR with me because of the sand and saltwater).
