My simple updated system

    This is my simple updated system. Its not really much but it sound great to me. It consist of a Denon DRA-635R Receiver and DIY Dayton Audio speakers with crossover I built myself. Right my source is my laptop for music.

    Those dayton kits have a great reputation. I'm sure things are sounding good

    since your familiar with DIY I would pick up a dayton subwoofer and plate amp, then build yourself a box. it will outperform any prebuilt in the same price range

    I built a pair of these with a friends for his medium sized room. 2ft sealed boxes for both with polyfill, they were extremely tight & musical. great driver for the money.

    Thanks that is a good idea. Good choice on sub but would you recommend on a sub plate amp?

    Thanks nyhifihead for suggestions. I would like to get the Dayton audio SPA500 plate amp to along with the with the sub you suggested. Althought its 500 at 4 ohms, the feature caught my eye.

    Love the absorption panels. Wish I could treat my room for sound, but the SO would never allow it lol.
