This solves a visual conundrum between daylight showing off the beauty of the aluminum and a darkened room mostly enhancing the lights of the faceplate. (Not saying that isn't beautiful.)

Something about these two different light family's take that doesn't intrude on the other......and just makes each other POP! (Appreciate your post.)

Edit: Other half to this look would be an amber for wood cabinetry.......may be the "white" though that gets this effect accomplished?

I was unable to see at night so I added LEDs to my Nikko set up. Picked up a light bar from Lowes at a much higher price. These rolls look awesome.

How do you power them, 12 VDC and how do you tie them together?

Spent a few hours with a bud working on equipment today and we temporarily set up (bigger room with better acoustics) my newly found Nikko Alpha II and Beta III through best two pair of speaks we have. (What gems, and learning the story of Nikko and how it came about in delivering....great story!)

Your look you have going is dead on and just had to appreciate your Nikko being added! I just finished a 70s' "tiki bar kitch" rack for my sons Marantz 2238b based setup and thinking that LED strip will "plus" two major elements in a big way....,thanks again for your sharing.

Well, a lot has changed since July. Have gotten a couple more gems in the collection.

    20151108_153818.jpg

Added another 510 with rack handles, a 150 tuner with the scope, a 2270 I'm currently working on and a 140 amp.

Have already recapped just about everything but the quads.. Here are some random refurb shots.

Looks sweet. I like the Besta stuff, not sure I'd do the doors though. It did take me a minute to even notice them.

If im cranking I'll always keep the door open. It's usually when I'm home alone. Otherwise my 4yr old would be all over everything. He loves music as much as his dad and loves touching everything. The doors give me a bit more sanity.
