am repairing an inverter .. 24v dc to 230v ac made by sterling . have replaced the mosfets now i am stuck with this t092 transistor as i cant find a data sheet or a schematic .
it appears like its a driver for a pair of irf840 N channel mosfets .
best i can find is mpsa44 but cant be sure its the same or not ..
any suggestions welcome .

Quite a special transistor Pete, you could try the MPSA44 - failing that you might have to go with a larger package transistor (T0220 ?) to get the ratings of that T092 demon.

looks like mpsa44 is discontinued at radio spares .. shame that as its free delivery these days .
am wondering if anyone else makes the same transistor ?

>BTNA44A3 is a TO-92. On page 5 of the datasheet it shows its physical marking is shortened to "NA44". On page 2 it shows "Q" as one of its hFE ranges.

I don't think you need a 400v vceo npn driver. Just a guess without a schematic for a 24v to 230vac converter.
