NAD 2100 or NAD 214?

I want to pick up a supplementary amp for bookshelves (a number of different vintage pieces) for power.

I have a choice between the two NADS above. Already have a NAD integrated I like quite a bit. Same price on both...so what would you go with?

I'm leaning toward the 214 (80 watts x 2) although the weaker 2100 (50 watts x 2) seems to have more dynamic power and maybe more capacitance at 40K mf?

The 2100 is older so it's made in the ROC. The 214 seems to be a PRC piece.

The 214 is a little heavier and has a toroid. I don't think the 2100 has a toroid but maybe twin PSs?

I'm inclined to go with the newer piece!

What do you guys think? Anyone with experience with both units?

Thanks. (Wasn't sure where to put this thread as I don't consider NADs that are late 80s or mid 90s vintage SS).

Well, I was talking to a few people (me, myself and I) and we all agreed that we're probably going to go with the 214. lol

Wondering how the 214 worked out? I'm considering buying one myself.
