Re: Caliper guide pins....many manufacturers (BMW among them) do not advise greasing the pins, as it attracts grit and other contaminants.
What I do is chuck the pins up in my cordless drill, and spin them in some 0000 steel wool to clean & polish them, then give `em a spray of Hoppe`s Dri-Lube....the wet carrier quickly evaporates, leaving a dry film of Teflon behind. Works great !
