Hi, I'm new to this and I just purchased a Technics SL-D2 turntable and a pair of Klipsch KSB 1.1 Bookshelf Speakers. The only thing I need is a receiver and I'm having some trouble choosing one so I thought I'd ask people with more experience :) Here are my choices:

Yamaha RX-770: https://offerupnow.com/item/detail/55021722/yamaha-rx-770-powerful-receiver-cheap
Technics SA-GX170: https://offerupnow.com/item/detail/61502368/stereo-receiver-technics
Denon DRA-395: https://offerupnow.com/item/detail/21796622/denon-stereo-receiver
Sherwood RX-4109: https://offerupnow.com/item/detail/38633212/sherwood
Pioneer (Not sure what model yet): https://offerupnow.com/item/detail/37365056/pioneer-receiver
Kenwood KR-A4040: https://offerupnow.com/item/detail/58903593/kenwood-receiver-kr-a4040

I have owned three Sherwood RX-4109 receivers. One died from my using it in an unventilated area and it overheated over a few years. The other is with my son-in-law. I still have the third and it is running fine. It is a decent performer, with a good phono input, and was well priced at about $100.

After a bit of leg work, I decided to go with the Yammy RX-A740 which had excellent reviews and a better warranty than the series that you had considered.

I've had it almost a year and on a daily basis or running at least 5 hours a day, there has been no problems. Power is more than adequate, running five Polk speakers along with a sub.

It is being used for AV only since my Technics receiver only had analogue ports.

You might want to look into this series which has more bang for the buck, and the price diff is not that great between the one you were looking at and this RX series.

Good luck on you final choice, eh?
