Need help with my Marantz 2245

So I just picked up a Marantz 2245 from a local seller for $95 Canadian anyhow, there are a few dead bulbs and I also need to replace the power switch, which does not stay on by itself, forcing me to sit there with my finger on the damned button.

Anyhow, since I'm not exactly tech-savvy, I want to bring it into a local repair shop... around how much would an average shop charge for a repair like that?

Probably about as much as you paid for it.

BTW, Digikey sells a pushbutton-type power switch that is about perfect for most Marantz's that use that style for about $5...just so no one comes back and says 'I can't find one', or 'I can get a switch for $30' or some crap.

Think about it... how much do you pay a mechanic to service your car, or a qualified technician to service your personal computer??

There are damn few shops charging less than $50 an hour for qualified technical services anymore.
