I also just saw this thread. I truly hope and will Pray for a Healthy Recovery!
Tuesdays report for Monday.
Some GOOD, Some BAD!
The GOOD. They did the Broncopscopy and it all looked good in her lungs so they took out the E-Tube. Plasmapheresis and dialysis went ok but the Nurses were on her Shit list!
The BAD. Kidneys are still NOT working as of 1600 Monday. So we're in a holding pattern.
So great she finally got that tube out! That has to be a huge improvement every minute of the day.
So sorry to hear this news, lots of prayers coming your way! Full power!
Just got back from talking to Cardiologist. There a very small blood clot at the apex of the Left Ventricle, plus with her lungs bleeding last week she's on a RAZORS EDGE with regard to blood Thinners and A-Fib. They are giving her Heparin (low dose) for the A-FIB. Hopefully the Heparin will dissolve it. She's still really sick.
More positive thoughts on the way.
Just read the news, Larry. May God prosper your wife and family. Our prayers are with you.
I'm sending a prayer or two her way.
Larry your wife and family are in our hearts and prayers!
More Karma sent Dee's way, hope she gets well soon.
Prayers continue daily for all of you. Glad she is able to at least be off the E-tube and able to communicate. I imagine her throat is quite sore now and will be for some days. We are all praying for her recovery.
Heparin doesn’t resolve clots. Just makes them stable so they don’t move and then dissolve as they would naturally over time.
That sounds like she is starting to turn around. I’ll pray for those kidneys!
Larry, I just stumbled across this. Prayers and good MOJO for you and yours.
Let her know that there's a lot of people here on AK praying and pulling for her to get better.
Thoughts and prayers headed her way.
Good luck. I am a nurse and my Mother is on hospice with renal failure, diabetes and legally blind. Mom refuses to do dialysis, which is frustrating. Pray for a miracle.
Do you have her medical directives laid out? Desire for DNR or Full Code? If you don't, discuss it with her when she is alert. Her life and yours will be different after recovery. Dialysis for 3 days a week. Restrictions on diet and fluid intake. The prospect for kidney transplant, is complicated.
I just saw this, and Our prayers and positive thoughts go out to you and your wife.
Just came across this thread, and will surely keep you both in my thoughts for a recovery and return to health...
Thoughts and prayers for you and your wife. Good luck also.
I haven't been on in a while, and just saw this. Best wishes for a healthy and speedy recovery.
