    Really enjoying the new rig.

A steer, which gave it's life for the beef industry, of which I am a consumer. The chrome tanned hide will be treasured for at least the rest of my lifetime.

Listening to Leonard Cohen's The Future and enjoying the heck out of the Esoteric and dCS.

    Very nice!

Have you today-or any other day-played around with different transports?

Some time ago I did a shoot-out between:
    -Mark Levinson 37/360S
    -Denon dcd-2010AE
    -Marantz UD8004
    -Proceed pdp-dac.

    The result?
    Forget about it!

What I learned was that the 18-year old Levinson dac blew away the rest,
and that old high-end is still high-end,while newer mid-fi digital is nowhere near.

I then switched out the 37 transport for digital signals from the Denon 2010 and also a Jungson/Grant Fidelity cdp I had,
    and the quality dropped instantly.
Some dacs are more peticular about their transports,
so I wonder if you have any experience on the subject?
