Nah, this is Audio Karma. The first thread will be something in line with "What's your favorite porn music?" Having listened to Ron Jeremy's Pornosonic, I'll still have to give the nod to 101 Strings Exotic Sounds of Love feat. Bebe Barber (pornstar).

How about a "Receivers" forum? I miss a lot of interesting receivers on the Pioneer, McIntosh and Sansui forums as I don't follow these, but do have interest in their receivers. Every company's receivers are different enough from their other gear (tuners, preamps and amps) that they really have little in common. Thus, a "Receivers" forum would put all the receiverophiles together.

Agreed, but there you get to the point where you dilute Vintage so much, that what's left?

The only real advantage to individual forums is that it makes it nice for those of that particular interest to subscribe to a whole forum and then they get notification of all new threads in that forum.

Since this is a pretty large forum, and there are a lot of people here, let's start petitions. If you can get 100 members in one thread in favor of creating a forum, we'll put it up on a trial and I will move posts appropriately to that forum from the rest of the board. Since that represents less than 1% of AK total, and probably 20% of the regulars here, feel free to create a thread and let's see where it goes....

    Sound cool? :)

Now, would said threads go in the 'General Audio' forum? I am very tempted to put one up for vintage Sony just for the heck of it. Might be fun to see if it can even break 10 members signing the petition.

Hey, great idea Yamaha. Kamakiri didn't specify it had to be 100 unique members.

Kamakiri, I'm supposed to think for myself? Gah, that's a scary possibility. Bad things happen when I do, so I just blindly follow.

Soo, is the member who starts a petition thread going to be forced into modship over the forum if it's created?

I have read through this whole thread and everyone has presented well thought out view's on the subject.

Someone told me one time that when trying to make a decision, sometimes your first thought is the right one.

After giving it some thought, I think Im going to cast my vote for for my first thought.

    Porn it is!

How about a Chicken Little forum? One where everyone who can tell all about a person from reading one post can go and tell the world that the poster is a troll. Also all the me too folks could feel a part of things. Sort of a buy in as it were :D

A dedicated swap forum, I know we have the free ad section for that but they just
don't seem to work that great or have as much traffic as a dedicated forum would.

A lot of us have extra stuff we could swap around and try some new gear or move
on something that's just sitting around that someone should be using.

Just my 2C, now go ahead hit me with all the crap at why it's a another stupid idea.

Don't slam me for this, but how about a Vintage Realistic forum. I know Radio Shack has a bad reputation, but they had some really nice geat during the '70s and part of the '80s.

Judging by the number of certain posts these last few days, perhaps we should have a temporary Mayonnaise forum akin to the infamous Brussel Sprouts forum. :scratch2:
