MX110 uses a 6DS4 Nuvistor as well.

They've always been plentiful on the auction site every time I looked - many of them listed as being NOS. Interchangeable with 6CW4.

Not the "M" version, which is what I have. It uses a 6BN4.

Good to know In my case my 1700 got sent to a new home shortly after my 4100 arrived last year. It's still an excellent sounding and looking receiver though.

My 1700's currently got its guts spilled all over my workbench getting new power supply caps. Once it's done I'm going to rotate it back into service and drop my 4100 on the bench for the same treatment, and some signal -cap upgrades on the preamp board.
