Deoxit all controls with emphasis on the input selector switch and Tape Monitor switch. Work each one 30-50 times while wet with Deoxit D5. You have to open it up to get to the controls.

I did that today but still an intermittent left channel, So I decided to check the left channel board P700 and was wiggling the caps and to my surprise one of them had a broken lead, changed the cap and low and behold she sings again on both channels .I ran it for about 2 hours and everything seems to be OK rechecked the bias and all is good as always thanks for all your help, On to the next project Pioneer SX850
