Hi all,
I recently dug this old Motorola SK11M out of storage and it's piqued my interest in the world of vinyl. It once was my grandparents. I remember listening to it during Christmas times when they'd pull out the Frank Sinatra Holiday albums. I messed around with it in high school (>10 years ago), and then it sat in storage since. It's a family heirloom, and luckily enough for me, it still works!
This came along with 4 binders of 78s, my mother's old Norton Buffalo, Little Feat, and Next of Kihn LPs, and a handful of other records that have been collected over the years.
The LPs tend to skip a hair, but that's why I'm here. Looking to learn as much as I can about this thing works, how to maintain it, and how to repair (if necessary). Also, looking to learn about the newer options for turntables, receivers, speakers and the like.
Anyway, looking forward to jumping into this community.
