I've been in and out,off and on the forum but I did manage to pick up some new music

Elvis Costello North
Ricki lee Jones The Evening of My Best Day
Steve Earle An All American Boy
20 Miles Life Doesn't Rhyme

They are all very good but I highly reccommend 20 Miles and Steve Earle

20 Miles are members of the Jon Spencer Group

Steve Earle is terrific, has offensive language but what a great cd

Alan, interested in hearing your thoughts on 'North'. Myself, I still don't know quite what to make of it, or whether or not I will be able to appreciate what Costello was trying to accomplish. This after 4 listens.

Well guys as far as "North" is concerned,I was right his involvement with Diana krall has taken his edge.
I listened to it twice and it rang of his recording with Bacharach.
This is background music for when you are having a dinner party.
Where is the angst, the pathos, the troubled soul? This guy has become lyrically happy.
I will keep the cd only because I have most of his stuff, but I sure am disappointed with this effort.

Forgot about him a Krall. I like some of Diana's work when the mood is right, but these are two worlds that should never come together IMO :(
