RS-183A is the amp number. RS-179A looks like the preamp. Those should lead you to the schematics.

to gain experience I'd suggest going to a thrift store or CL for the cheapest unit
(working, non-working, cordless [AC], as long as they do not contain bugs live or dead)
say, beer/wine/cigarette/Cuban-cigar, money.
experiment by desoldering,small and BIG caps, then solder them back in. do enough
to gain confidence, skill, and a good start into this business.
I started with a 100w weller gun, like sledgehammer for fine furniture work. now
know the difference between a tool, and a TOOL.
