I have a pair of super ones that are used for TV watching, and a little music. (I have other systems for strictly music.) I also have a spare super one. Y'all got me curious so I just ordered some Dayton caps for the one "orphan". Figured it would be worth what little the Daytons cost to find out what difference they might make. If there's enough of an improvement, I might spring for Sonicaps for the other two. (I put Sonicaps in my Norman 8's several years ago.) Then again, if the Daytons are good enough, for my ears, I just may go the cheap route. The trick will be to put those much larger caps in place where those IBC's (itty bitty caps) are now.

Got the Dayton's and installed them yesterday. BIG improvement in overall clarity and detail. Bass is tighter and cleaner. Soundstage is also greatly improved. Don't know about imaging yet as I only did the one. (Parts on order for my listening pair.)

For what little $ and time it took, I highly recommend recapping.

I was very impressed with my NHT 1.3a's. Ken chimed in. And emailed a recommendation for a center ch match to them. Still use them. Driven by a Arcam amp. Great match.
