Currently looking at both of these models and unlikely to audition, seeking user's
    or non users thoughts.

On paper they seem to not have much in common other they are both
slim floor standers suitable for med to smallish rooms.

The Taskim has little in the way of a crossover but a single cap on the tweeter allowing
for high efficiency suitable for SET amps and SS amplification, they weigh in at 88lbs
a piece which was a little surprising considering their overall size.
Very accurate and by most accounts great sounding within their category.

A smallish floor stander from the UK that comes with plenty of great reviews [only 33 lbs]
and again an over achiever considering its size category, not as efficient and likes some
grunt when it comes to the amplification, but whats put in you get.

Since giving up a large sound space for a much smaller room and letting go of
whats normally referred to as "large speakers" on AK, downsizing and going to non vintage
is a bit of a change.

If you are on Vancouver Island - head to Soundhounds in Victoria and try out some of the lines they carry - they used to carry Reference 3a. Both speakers are quite different and I prefer higher sensitive speakers like Reference 3a BUT I have been less enthused with their newer models with the BE tweeters - I prefered their silk dome models. Soundhounds has recently downsized sadly due to their owner passing away and their long time salesman retiring and also recently passing away. Still they carry a lot of lines that may be of interest. For high efficiency - My choice would be Audio Note and depending which model - DeVore. If lower efficiency is fine then they carry Harbeth, Sonus Faber, B&W, Magnepan, Quad, Paradigm, KEF. Been awhile so may have other lines too. They are located near Pandora Avenue.
