Nikon SP + Contax IIa

Dusted off these two little beauties today. Nikon SP with Nikkor-S 5 cm f 1.4 lens and Zeiss Contax IIA with Sonnar 50 mm f 1.5 lens.

I've got a Nikkor S 5cm 1.4 in LTM that is a nice little lens. Weighty, but it sure is sharp, when I focus it correctly.

It came with the Canon I got from my dad, VI-T if I recall.

Once had a contemporary Canon 7S that also took Leica screw mount lenses. A very pleasant instrument. Much more than the Leica II / D I had at the same time, superb precise craftsmanship with "difficult" ergonomics.

Now that ergonomics has been brought up, that is the one thing that I found so difficult about using the M3 and the Canon for that matter too.
The bodies are well made, no question there, but they don't lend themselves to being held in the hand very easily if you ask me. First off they're very 'solid', ie a little weighty, and second I found they're skinny with no 'grip' on them. Once I found a grip for the M3 I found I could actually hold the camera a little more easily.
