I'm putting together an alarm clock radio. I have a bunch of vintage Pioneer components: tuner, integrated amp, audio timer, speakers.
I'd like to have a digital source but I don't know what it might be.
- turn on and play random song
** or **
- turn on and play sequential song but remember where it was when powered off
I don't care about the user interface. Source could be network, SD card, wired, wireless, whatever... don't care.
I've been thinking about a Kodi machine built on a Raspberry Pi but I'd have to figure out how to script it to start playing on power up.
I'd appreciate any help or ideas.
