Odd Woofer, "Janszen" type!

I have folks give me odd ball cabinets, drivers, etd. They measure 11.5" hole center to hole center, 9" OD foam size, and have nice cast frame! They have a front label plate that sez "Janszen".

Any ideas on this woofer? I would like to know more about it and hopefully find another

Well that's interesting. No numbers on the back?

I have a radio from the 50s (Philips IIRC) with Janszen electrostatic tweeters. Never seen any woofers though.

Seems they sold some complete speakers with Janszen electrostatic tweeters. Those woofers might be out of something like that. Google up "Janszen woofer vintage" and look at Images. Maybe you'll find a match and at least learn what model of speaker it was used in.

"Sony 250 W 020" is on a small metal sticker on the back, made in Japan- no number on the cone itself!

Do I understand correctly this is a raw woofer with no cabinet? So no way to identify it by the cabinet.

Thanks for the link up, I found that same one yesterday. David JansZen replided to my inquiry with nothing new. Still waiting on my camera to be dropped off.
