This is a non-audio post about one of the most DIY computers ever sold. This is one of the only consumer grade computers with a SAMs manual and a cult following of people who used to mod these. I just got one and was curious to see if there was anyone else on the forum still messing with these...

Well, this is just the start up garbage in the video rom. I can get to a machine code input terminal and interface with a disk drive that I don't have. This is all thanks to one of the roms being replaced by a previous owner with an EPROM. Their version of the rom does not include the onboard Microsoft 1.0 OS. I have found the HEX data file to restore the chip to factory specs. I just have to dump it onto an EEPROM.

I realize it's been a while, but this is an interesting project, sooo...

How did your EPROM venture go? I haven't done anything quite like that in a long time, but it's always fun to dig into projects like that.
