Just found this thread, had to contribute!

I try to avoid added to my speaker collection. But, finding Ohm 1 or 2's locally, would be tempting. I heard F's in the 70's, but not since.

if i can ever find some nice 1 or 2 cabinets or cheap non working ones that is what i would like to do also. i like my 2XO's too much to mess with them.

Thats what I did, found them on the net for a fair price. Sent the cans in and only one needed a new protection circuit ($20?). Gave the cabs a coat of scotts liquid gold & boom.
..Wait I got new grills too. Those made all the difference in appearance to my eyes

I heard the 5000 at the shop in Brooklyn. Those were awesome. Needed room to breathe but when they got going the sound was immense and enveloping. Very pleasant experience. I've never heard the F's or A's but would like to

There are some Walsh 4s for sale near me. Been watching him drop the price over the last 2 months 100 at a time from 600 down to 275 now. Still too rich for my blood at the moment but if he goes 200 are they worth it? People seem to love or hate them.

Edit- just reread the ad. Wants 275 each.
