Back in the days of big was beautiful, they made this Marantz Model 30 with the big metal knobs and slide tone controls ( dates it as a 1970's amp ). Well, in this case, someone yanked out one whole channel - the PC Board and heatsink, I guess for repairs. When the set eventually got to me, those items were gone, and lost gorever.

You'd never know from looking at the front, but yeah a lot is missing in there. Just hanging around for the last ten years, I was hoping someone would someday have another similarly ruined set that they would donate or trade for my use in restoring this heavy brute to original heft and power. Soooo. if anyone has a blown-up, damaged or remains of a Marantz 30, do LMK.

Welcome to AK!

No, I don't have a broken Model 30 for you, but I do want to welcome you to AK.
I actually stumbled across your amp pages several years ago.

Hey-- you wouldn't know what power output transistor was used in the Soundcraftsmen MA5002, a big ol' 250 wpc brute from the later 70s? And, possibly have a half-dozen or more to sell??

Glad to have you here at AK.
