Onkyo A-9110 vs TX-8270

Which would you choose and why?

New Onkyos have this wierd volume "issue" where there is no sound at all at volume levels under 20. Some around 30. And normal listening levels need a volume of 40+! Seeing it right now with the TX-NR676 and reading about it online re other models too. Do either of the subject brands have that issue?

Thank you all in advance for any and all advice.

I was eyeballing the A-9110 and am disappointed to not see any info about it on AK. You may want to try posting in another, maybe more appropriate forum.

Yes, might post elsewhere.
Having trouble trusting the reviews though. Reviews that come in the form of an article are mostly paid for. (Ever wondered why you never see a negative review?). Individual user comments based on experience are more useful to me.

For the time being, already settled for a "vintage" Technics SU-V95 full set with eq. Loving it. I grew up with Technics stuff actually. My father still runs an SA-700. My SU-V95 doesn't hold a candle to the SA-700, but still not bad. Running them with matching Technics 3-way speakers too. Satiated for now. :)
