Hi all. I don't know if this is the right place to post this question, but wondering if an Onkyo M-508 will safely power my RS-II (first series) comfortably? I don't see anywhere that this is a high current amp, and considering the threads I have read on the subject, it seems this may not be a good choice. I have one, and will admit, something blew about a 1/3 of the way into Bostons Amanda. May have been my own stupidity for using the wrong amp, or maybe something is wrong with the amp. It had no problem driving my Magneplanars and 7 Kappas. Any thoughts?

Should not have any problems. Mine are pretty loud using less than 2 watts of power

I know for a fact that my RSIIs are not a good match for Boston;)
Your amp in good working order should be more than good enough.
    Perhaps wires crossed somewhere.

    It's a pretty robust amp. Shouldn't have a problem.
