Original Coupling Caps in MC275

I have been using a 1960s vintage MC275 daily for about 8 years with no electrical problems. When I got the amp I had a tech look at it and he replaced the PS caps, the rectifier and a couple of resistors at the input. What say you about replacing the coupling caps or any other item to insure that the amp is working up to spec? I don't care about resale value, as I will keep this amp forever.

OldMc,

The first thing to check is the voltages on the schematic and make note of any variance. Replacing all of the signal caps with modern poly type will result in less noise, deeper base, and airier highs. The sound will shift toward the high end as the loose bottom will be tighter but the amp will have more authority.
The biggest change in sound will come from the two .1 input caps. You might want to try these first.
