Since we have a thread for pictures of old Mopar's. I thought I would start an old GM one too. I'm not trying to start a Ford vs GM vs Chrysler argument here, I like them all, I just thought it would be nice to see some pics of some old GM cars.

Here's some of mine. I currently have the truck and the Buick, but not the 2 Impalas, I sold the 72 recently and the 327 you see came out of the 68 Impala, and went into the truck. I junked the 68 Impala after I pulled the engine back in '96, but now I really wish I kept it.

Snapped this in the parking lot just this week. Rather unusual to see a '58 2 dr sedan.

I found this pic of a 348 with tri power on the web. Beautiful restoration on this engine.

I grew up with Dad having 50's and 60's GM iron as go-to-work beaters. I myself had a '63 Impala coupe as my first car in 1977. I have a pic, but no PC scanner:( . But for pure raw beauty, nothing for me beats the second generation Corvair.

Not exactly a car, but.... This is the only GMC I have owned. 1974 model, 366 CID V-8, 4 BBL Holley carb, 4 speed standard transmission. Haven't driven it for a while, need to do some more work on the wiring.

I've got a 74 Nova Custom that I'm restoring, no current pics, but I plan on taking some next spring.

Adam, I've always loved that body style for the Chevy trucks... looks like a sweet ride!

I wished you would have kept the 67 Imp as well... could have dropped a 427 in there and
    made a SS clone. :thmbsp:

That's my dream car... a 67 Impala SS 427!

My mom's run of cars -

    1963 Lincoln Continental
    1965 Mustang GT
    1967 Mercury Cougar
    1969 Olds Vista Cruiser
1972 Buick Estate Wagon (totaled almost immediately)
    1972 Buick Skylark
    1975 Buick Skyhawk (POS)
    1978 Olds Firenza (fast POS, 305 Chevy w/ TH350)
    1981 VW Scirocco
    1984 Ford Tempo
Unbroken string of boring Toyotas until she stopped driving a few years ago.
(The Tempo cured her of ever wanting a domestic car again.)

Thanks, that truck (65) was a project started back in '92 and it still isn't on the road, it's still missing alot of the interrior, the bed isn't fully bolted on, and some other stuff. Here's some old pics...

A little different, but this is the only vintage GM car I've ever considered buying.

It's the closest thin GM has to my German made Ford Capri! Those old Opels are outstanding cars. Much as the Camero in this country was the answer to Ford's Mustang, the Manta in Europe was the answer to the Capri.

    Take care,

    Ed
