Was this their lower line of speakers?In particular the CS-822A.Theres a nice looking pair at a local garage sale with rotted foam but he's not charging extra for that...I've done a search and haven't found any useful info.
 
don't bother, believe me, you can do better...even if he is throwing in the rotted foam for free
 
their that bad eh?quality seems a little cheap but the cabinets are in vg shape..and lest we forget,pretty lites indicating output?
 
Those weren't among Pioneer's best efforts.
The CS speakers to look for are the CS-88, CS-99, CS-88A, CS-99A, & the CS-63DX. These all share a very sweet sound with adequate bass.
 
Glad to hear that the speakers you (bully) listed are the only good ones. The CS-33s I picked up found their way quickly into the garage pile next to the Sansuis (sp-30s, -50s). Might use them to test amps before any maintenance, might just use them for kindling.
