pioneer ctf900 help

Hi
Does anyone know how to clean the ctf900 or 950 tape transport controls ?
My stop button takes about 5 clicks before it will stop. I took the faceplate off and hit the switch with some deoxit but no help. The switchs look fragile so I didn't go any further
