Pioneer CX-790/M-790 vs Onkyo TX-8211

I am currently using the Onkyo TX-8211 stereo receiver which sounds good to me. I have an opportunity to swap it out for a Pioneer CX-790/M-790 combo. I only use my amp for listening to my vinyl records or CD's. Both amps have a phono input and then Pioneer even has a mono button unlike the Onkyo. Would the Pioneer be an upgrade or should I stick to the Onkyo?

I would stick with what you have. That Pioneer gear does not look like there better stuff that I've seen and looks like it came out of a all in one rack system. Not a good thing IMO.

The Onkyo TX-8211 is a very solid unit for the money and just a good receiver in general.
