Hello,
I just recently picked up a P10. My initial impressions(very initial)are of a sound a little bass shy and less organic sounding than my Yamaha Gt-2000. I have read that dampening the EA-10 tonearm can help a lot in this area, but sadly I do not have any of the Pioneer dampening fluid. Can anybody recommend where I can pick some up, or If their is a similar alternative. After all, it is a silicone based solution that Pioneer sourced. Thank you in advance.
Marc

You can get Jelco DO-01 Tonearm Oil. I use silicone oil from 20 000 to 50 000 cst. Original Pioneer part is GEM1058, which is 200 000 cst.
For me both Jelco and Pioneer are too thick.

Hello,
Than you very much for the response. Are you using the straight or S wand? What type of effect does the dampening arm have in your opinion.?
Thanks,
Marc
