For the HPM Lover in all of us, here is a collection of HPM photos and specs, and the year of the catalog in which illustrated.

Also, I do not have a photo of the HPM-110X, which has a different frequency response from the HPM-110.

1980 HPM-30
1976 HPM-40
1980 HPM-50
1976 HPM-60
1980 HPM-70
1976 HPM-100
1980 HPM-110
1980 HPM-150
1976 HPM-200
1981 HPM-300 (German)
1980 HPM-500
1980 HPM-700
1980 HPM-900
1981 HPM-1100
1980 HPM-1500

* edit: Mark W. raised an interesting point, which now requires that I add 3 more photos of the HPM-40, HPM-60, and HPM-100 from a 1979 catalog.

1979 HPM-40 u1
1979 HPM-60 u2
1979 HPM-100 u1

* edit: For PioneerHPMLuver, here is a photo and specs of the S-X4, the "baby" HPMs. Look in the bottom left corner of the text for the "S-X4G".

1981 S-X4 (Japanese)
1981 S-X4G

Good stuff. Shows the efforts by Pioneer to produce not so average speakers. Some really neat designs and concepts.

Doc you have to scans of HPM-60 pages but neither looks like my HPM-60's my Woofers have the Octagon frames similar to the HPM-70's I take it mine are the newest version peple talk about?

For $40.00 I ain't complaining and the surrounds appear to be of the near zero maintainace paper type so I'm happy with that.

Well, I went through 11 catalogs that had the HPM-60 illustrated. All were the same, except for the 11th. From a 1979 catalog:

thanks Doc those are the ones I have. with so many changes I would assume they were a good design worth keeping around a while and upgrading as was needed.

In any case mine have found a home.

Actually, your query effected the HPM-40 and HPM-100 as well. I have edited post 1 in this thread to reflect the additional information on the 40/60/100.
