Pioneer LD player problem

Guys I have a Pioneer Laser Disk player that has developed a wierd problem.



When I push the button to open the drawer, the drawer opens, and closes, and opens and closes, etc. It never stops

Has anyone here had the same problem, and what can I do about it? is there a chip I can change?

any help would be appreciated.

Just off the top of my head - Sticky button?, dirt or foreign object preventing the drawer from closing properly?, dirty sensor?

Well, I cleaned the button with contact cleaner. I dont think thats it.
